Cicero, if you will, sprinkles water on our hearts, stating that death and old age are not misfortune, but on the contrary, there are always ”ages“ that come to all of us at the end and that we should welcome with satisfaction. He even discusses why death and old age, which we try to avoid even mentioning, cannot be passed over with half-hearted condolences and should even be praised, based on spiritual-body dualism. The most desirable end of life is when nature, which brings together the human body, breaks its own creation while the mind and other abilities are still intact. Just as one can take apart a ship or a house, the person who built it is the best tool for its solution, just as nature, which brings together the parts of a person.
