Ketebe Şehirde Köşe Bucak Cahit Zarifoğlu

Product description

This work, which includes previously unedited writings of cahit zarifoğlu, comes into being with the compilation of his writings that he excitedly wrote in local newspapers such as demokrasiye hizmet, gençlik, and engizek during his early youth years, when he was still seventeen or eighteen years old. The young poet leads his readers through the streets of maraş, its children, youth, elders, and traditions, making them wander through the veins of the city.

In those years, zarifoğlu, who was pursuing the spirit of the city, delves into the social and cultural issues of maraş in the 1950s, questioning the interests of children and young people, drawing attention to the beauty of flower beds laid in the city square, sadly accepts the loss of its historical texture, and perhaps begins to establish its own unique universe of images that will place it among the stars of turkish poetry in the future.

the city is asleep, the poet is not asleep, he is walking, seeing and writing:these qataris go tirelessly.

the roads, -as on the forehead of people- two black scratches.

one of those who do not have a good omen, when he wakes up, he thinks about these things.
