Product description
Key Features Launched in 2006 by Nathalie Lorson, this fragrance is a vibrant blend of cypress, cashmere, and musk wood that makes you feel unique and indulgent. The formula provides a gentle yet inviting scent with a long-lasting effect. An ideal gift for someone special. Overview: Lalique is a French glassware design house founded by artist, master ceramist, and jeweler René Lalique. Born in the small village of Ay in 1860, and raised in both Paris and Ay, young René developed a fascination with the natural world that fully expresses itself in his later artwork. He formally studied art at the Collège Turgot, but was forced to leave when his father died. At the age of 12, he began an apprenticeship with a Parisian goldsmith, taking lessons in the evenings whenever he could. He was able to continue his education at the Sydenham College of Art in London. He returned to England and worked as a freelance artist, while also designing jewelry for luxury jewelers such as Cartier and Boucheron, before starting his own business in 1885. Jewelry at the time focused on the quantity of gemstones in a piece, with design being less important. Lalique forever changed the jewelry field with these nature-inspired pieces featuring animal motifs and the female form. One of the most famous (and most imitated) jewelers of the famous Art Nouveau period, Lalique eventually shifted his focus from jewelry to glassware, achieving even greater success. Lalique partnered with François Coty to develop beautiful bottles for perfumes, a revolutionary concept at the time. Perfumes at the time were sold in plain glass bottles, and women who purchased them also had to purchase ornate and expensive vessels for their homes if they wanted to store them in a more attractive container. Lalique designed the vintage cases and beautiful labels for some of Coty's popular vintage products, such as Lefleur and Ampere Antique. Lalique's other stroke of brilliance was in designing a manufacturing process that enabled the mass production of bottles, thus reducing costs and making the product more affordable and widely available. This new concept of marketing perfumes in beautiful vessels was captured, and Lalique would go on to design bottles for Roger & Gallet, Guerlain, Molinard, d'Orsay, and Worth, among others. One of his most memorable creations is the beautiful Dove Falcon for Nina Ricci's L'Air du Temps. Glass became the medium in which Lalique devoted his efforts for the rest of his life. Not limited to perfume bottles, he also designed architectural compositions and hood ornaments for luxury cars. Lalique died in 1945, but his artistic talent was passed down through the generations. Lalique's granddaughter, Marie-Claude, who was also a glassmaker, decided to create her own line of perfumes in 1992, reviving her grandfather's tradition of presenting perfumes in beautiful boats. The fragrances are produced in collaboration with Art & Fragrances, and since 1994, luxurious limited editions of the company's fragrances have been presented in sculpted bottles every year.
The Lailak perfume house includes 92 fragrances from our fragrance collection. The first version was created in 1992 and the latest in 2021. Lalique fragrances were created in collaboration with perfumers such as Michel Almairac, Mylène Alran, Béatrice Piquet, Max Jaffari, Émilie (Bevier) Cooperman, Jean-Claude Ellena, Raphaël Houry, Bertrand Duchaufour, Christine Nagel, Mathilde Bedjaoui, Mylène Alran, Maurice Roucel, Dominique Ropion, Philippe Romano, Karine Dubreuil, Laurent Bruyère, Richard Ibanez, Anne Flipo, Fabrice Pellegrin, Sophia Grojsman, Vincent Record, Clément Marx, Julien Pluess, Corinne Cachin, Julie Mas, Annie Ayo, Valérie Jarnoch-Münetzel, Sidonie Lancesseur, Gérard Anthony, Christian Pluess, Cécile Matton, Violaine Colas, Dorothée Piot, Benoiste Lapoza and Barbara Zubelin.
