The scientific name for Lorin FM is Loratadine 10 mg tablets.
Lorin fast-dissolving tablets belong to antihistamine medications.
How Loratadine (Lorin FM) works: It is an antihistamine drug that prevents histamine from binding to its H1 receptors in the cells of the respiratory system, blood vessels, and digestive system.
It is a second-generation drug that does not cause drowsiness.
Medical uses of Lorin FM fast-dissolving tablets: Loratadine tablets are used to relieve symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis.
Symptoms of these conditions may include sneezing, runny nose, itching, as well as burning, itching, and watery eyes.
Loratadine tablets are also used to relieve symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives).
How to use Lorin FM fast-dissolving tablets: Adults (including the elderly): 10 mg once daily (one tablet once daily).
Children over 12 years: 10 mg once daily (one tablet once daily).
Children from 2 to 12 years: Body weight more than 30 kg: 10 mg once daily (one tablet once daily).
Body weight 30 kg or less: Not ed.
Children under two years: Not ed.
The tablet should be swallowed whole with water.
It can be taken with or without food.
Doses may be changed under special circumstances, so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a forgotten dose.
Side effects of Lorin FM fast-dissolving tablets: Rash, swelling of the face/tongue/lips/hands/feet, breathing difficulties, drowsiness, headache, increased appetite, difficulty sleeping, nervousness, fatigue.
Use of Lorin FM fast-dissolving tablets during pregnancy and lactation: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medication.
Useful tips for relieving cold symptoms and using Lorin FM: Get plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids.
Try to inhale humid air.
Drink warm liquids (soup or tea) to relieve nasal congestion and thin phlegm.
Eat a balanced diet, and if you cannot, make sure you get enough nutrients by taking daily vitamins.
Avoid dairy products as they may increase phlegm thickness.
Warnings and precautions while using Lorin fast-dissolving tablets: Do not take the medication if you are allergic to Loratadine or any other ingredients of this medication.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Loratadine if: you have serious liver problems, or if you are scheduled to undergo any skin allergy tests.
Do not take Loratadine tablets for two days before these tests as it may affect test results.
When taking the following medications concurrently, they may increase the level of Loratadine in the blood and increase its side effects: Ketoconazole (for treating fungal infections), Erythromycin (antibiotic), Cimetidine (used in treating ).
