Makeblock mBot Ranger Robot Kit (Bluetooth Version)

Yes, the **mBot Ranger (Bluetooth Version)** has what could be considered the robot’s “mind,” but it is not a brain like a human’s. * **Brain:** This is the **Me Auriga electronic control board**, which is the main microcontroller that receives and processes programming commands and then controls the motors, sensors, lights, and devices connected to the robot. * **Microcontroller Used:** The **Me Auriga** board is based on the **ATmega2560** microcontroller, which is responsible for executing all program instructions. ### What is the Programming Software? The **mBot Ranger** robot can be programmed using: 1. **mBlock** (the default and recommended software) * It uses drag-and-drop graphical programming (Blocks) suitable for beginners. * It also supports programming in **Arduino C/C++** for advanced users. 2. **Arduino IDE** * The robot can be programmed directly using the **Arduino (C/C++)** language for full control over the components. ### How does it work? 1. You write the program in **mBlock** or **Arduino IDE**. 2. The program is sent to the **Me Auriga** board via a USB cable or, in some cases, controlled via Bluetooth. 3. The **Me Auriga** board executes the commands, such as: * Turning on the motors. * Reading sensors. * Avoiding obstacles. * Line following. * Controlling lights and sounds. **Summary:** * **Does it have a brain?** Yes, electronically—it’s the **Me Auriga board**, which serves as the robot’s brain. * **Can it be programmed?** Yes. * **Primary programming software:** **mBlock**. * **Programming language:** Visual programming (Blocks) or **Arduino C/C++** for advanced users.
