What is Meva Mebeverine Coated Tablets and what are its uses? Mebeverine helps relax the muscles of the digestive system (gastrointestinal tract).
It is used in conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and similar problems like chronic irritable bowel, spastic , mucous , and spastic .
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a very common condition that causes cramping and pain in the intestines.
The intestines are a long muscular tube that food passes down so it can be digested.
If the intestines go into spasm and contract strongly, you feel pain.
The way this medicine works is by relieving spasm, pain, and other symptoms of IBS.
The main symptoms of IBS include: stomach pain and cramping, persistent , or alternating and , abdominal bloating and feeling bloated, small, hard, granular or ribbon-like stools.
Do not take Meva Mebeverine tablets if you are allergic to mebeverine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Warnings and precautions when using Meva Mebeverine tablets: Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking mebeverine if: you develop new symptoms or symptoms worsen, you have liver or kidney problems.
Possible side effects of mebeverine: Allergic reactions may occur, such as skin reactions, dermatitis or redness, swelling, hives, itching, or rash.
Other medicines and Meva Mebeverine tablets: Mebeverine is not known to interact with other medicines, but you should tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.
How to take Meva Mebeverine tablets: Try to take the tablet 20 minutes before a meal - some people find their symptoms are stronger after eating.
The tablet should be swallowed whole with water.
Do not chew the tablet.
Adults (including the elderly) and Meva Mebeverine tablets: The usual dose is one tablet three times a day.
Do not take more than three tablets daily.
The number of tablets you take may decrease if your symptoms improve.
Children and adolescents and Meva Mebeverine tablets: Mebeverine is not ed for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
How to store Meva Mebeverine tablets: Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton or label after EXP.
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Store this medicine in a dry place below 30°C and protect it from light.
Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater or household waste.
Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use.
