Product description

With the copenhagen trilogy, tove ditlevsen has become a new symbol of women's literature and (following ferrante and knausgaard) autobiographical narrative in the world. "what they said: ""an extraordinary story where the exiles can find something from themselves."

”patti smith “how to make great literature, here is an example.

a class… trilogy, the product of a tremendous talent. Parul sehgal, the new york times, describes the experience of reading ditlevsen as subversive, as if ditlevsen had entered your head and rearranged all the furniture.

” ?deborah eisenberg, the new york review of books “kopenhag üçlemesi a masterpiece, fills a special void. It's like a valuable treasure found in the drawer of someone who has disappeared, or a secret stash hidden among socks or old photos. "megan o'grady, the new york times book review ""to be overwhelmed by addiction and madness... ditlevsen." Sam sacks, the wall street journal, keeps telling us that ditlevsen is desperate and incapable. "but what makes the book good is that it is not desperate or helpless at all... ""? john powers, npr ""the size of the text is based on an unsolved mystery, both unsolved and resolved." Rachel kushner, author of the mars room, is like a hundred-year-old crystal, ditlevsen's book shines with distinction and transparency, with small distortions and an untouched beauty.

” hannah kofman, los angeles review of books “the best books i read this year were from this trilogy.

all of them, like a small dagger, once they're in, they don't come out of you until they're done with their business.

” ? John self, new statesman “both elena ferrante’s naples novels and ditlevsen’s copenhagen trilogy depict the era with great courage and sparkling specificity: bookish girls growing up in the working class quarters - 1930s copenhagen or 1950s naples, both are the same. But aesthetically, ditlevsen's book is much more interesting.

it's like a crystal with slime cleaned off. When returning to the times literary supplement eve, lucasta miller always looks inside baby strollers because she loves looking at babies sleeping with their palms resting on the frilly pillows.

i also like to look at people who somehow reveal their feelings.

i like to look at mothers caressing their children, and i don't mind following a young couple walking hand in hand and clearly in love with each other to pave the way for me.

they give me a treasure of happiness and an uncertain hope for the future. I'm thinking about loneliness, complete absence of family and relatives, about a man who spends time in a loft, crawling over a single candle, a pen from a paper top, and for now, hiding his face and name from me.

death is not a smooth self-transcendence as i once supposed.

cruel, and stinky.

i hug myself, i'm glad i'm young and healthy. Or is my youth just a non-existence, a barrier that i want to leave behind as soon as possible.
