Product details

Product description
Nettle is a perennial herb that typically grows in temperate regions, including the Arab world and the Mediterranean basin. It can reach a height of one meter or more and has strong roots that allow it to survive for years. The leaves are serrated (3-6 cm) and covered with tiny stinging hairs containing compounds such as histamine and formic acid, which cause a burning and itching sensation upon contact. The stems are erect, sometimes branching, often square-angled, and covered with stinging hairs. The flowers are very small and green, usually appearing in summer in drooping clusters. The species is dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate plants. The roots are strong and deeply branched, enabling continuous growth. Nettle grows in a variety of fertile, well-drained soils and prefers sunny locations but tolerates shade. Despite its stinging nature, fresh, dried, or cooked nettle loses its sting and is widely used. Common uses include traditional medical applications (supporting arthritis, prostate problems, anemia, circulation, and urinary tract/kidney health), culinary uses (as a vegetable in soups and salads, or prepared as a tea for vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C and iron), and cosmetic uses (hair and skin care formulations, known to strengthen hair and reduce hair loss).
