Areas of Use: Essential oils can be used externally through methods such as skin massage for chakra balancing, aromatherapy, bath oils, and breathing exercises. For skin massage in particular, essential oils are usually mixed with carrier oils. Diffusers or incense burners for aromatherapy purposes allow essential oils to spread a pleasant scent. Adding a few drops of essential oil to bath water can be effective on the body. During breathing exercises, methods that allow the scent of essential oils to spread throughout the environment are preferred. For topical use, diluting essential oils is recommended.
