Polyvinyl alcohol, povidone ophthalmic solution (eye drops) 30 (0.4 ml) each sterile.
What is polyvinyl alcohol/povidone and what are its uses: Polyvinyl alcohol/povidone is an ophthalmic solution used to relieve symptoms of irritated dry eyes and dry eye symptoms.
It can also be used as a comforting drop while wearing hard or soft lenses.
Do not use polyvinyl alcohol/povidone: • If you are hypersensitive to polyvinyl alcohol, povidone, or any other ingredients of this medication.
Warnings and Precautions: • If eye irritation, eye pain, persistent redness, changes in vision, worsening, increase, or persistence for more than 24 hours occur, discontinue use and consult your healthcare provider.
• If the solution changes color or becomes cloudy, discontinue use.
Possible side effects of polyvinyl alcohol/povidone may include the following symptoms: Eye disorders • Eye irritation • Eye pain • Eye discharge • Itching • Redness • Feeling of something in the eye • Increased tear flow • Blurred vision Immune system disorder • Hypersensitivity • Allergic reaction Other medications and polyvinyl alcohol/povidone: If you are using polyvinyl alcohol/povidone with another eye medication, leave at least 15 minutes between applying polyvinyl alcohol/povidone and the other medication.
How to use polyvinyl alcohol/povidone: The usual dosage is one or two drops in each eye as needed.
• Make sure the container is intact before use.
• To open, twist the tab.
• Apply one or two drops in each eye as needed or as directed.
There is no specific dosage schedule for the elderly or children.
• To avoid contamination, the dropper should not touch the eye or any other surface.
• Use immediately after opening.
• Do not store the opened container.
• Discard after use.
How to store polyvinyl alcohol/povidone: • Store the unopened container at a temperature below 25°C.
• Do not store the opened container.
• Discard after use.
• Store all medications out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiration date mentioned on the label/carton.
