Ötüken Neşriyat Mahşer

Product description

The doomsday is nihat's novel, who fought for the sake of the country, the nation, on the front, and after returning to istanbul, he experienced enough disappointments to find himself on the verge of suicide.

Peyami safa, presenting the moral collapses caused by the disruptions, poverty, and spiritual depressions of the first world war on an individual and societal scale, shows the reader, starting from the first pages of the novel, what kind of miseries an idealistic person must face to survive.

Nihat, who was sent to istanbul because he was injured on his shoulder in çanakkale, begins to believe that turkey is now a place of 'a hell where the innocent, the clean, the naive, the virtuous, the decent, the well-intentioned and the people with big hearts live shoulder to shoulder with the disgraceful, the thieves, the unbelievers, the liars, the lowlifes, the sour milkers, the traitors and the murderers'.
