Panadol Extra pain reliever is ideal for those seeking the benefits of Panadol, along with a greater pain-relieving effect against minor to moderate pain such as headaches, toothaches, and menstrual pain.

The ingredients in Panadol provide a pain-relieving effect up to 37% stronger compared to regular paracetamol, and it is gentle on the stomach when used as directed.

Panadol Extra is a paracetamol-based pain reliever that alleviates fever and strong pain such as headaches, including migraines, muscle pain, menstrual pain, ear pain, and sore throat.

Directions for use: Oral use only.

Adults, including the elderly and children aged 12 years and over: Take 2 tablets up to 4 times daily, 8 tablets in 24 hours.

Do not exceed the specified dose.

It should not be used with other products containing paracetamol.

Not ed for children under 12 years of age.

Warnings and Precautions: Always read the label, use the treatment only as directed, for the relief of pain and fever, incorrect use can be harmful.

This treatment should not be taken at the same time as other products containing paracetamol.

Paracetamol Overdose: Immediate medical care is needed in case of paracetamol overdose to avoid the risk of liver failure, even if overdose symptoms do not appear.

An overdose of paracetamol, more than 10g, may cause liver failure.

Early symptoms may include pallor, nausea, vomiting, diaphoresis, and general malaise.

Clinical and laboratory evidence of liver damage may not be apparent until 48 to 72 hours after overdose.

Overdose should be treated immediately by gastric lavage and then intravenous acetylcysteine or methionine without waiting for plasma paracetamol levels.

General supportive measures should also be available.

The importance of additional treatment is also being studied in the presence of further plasma paracetamol levels and the time elapsed since overdose ingestion.

Caffeine Overdose: Caffeine overdose may lead to epigastric pain, vomiting, diuresis, tachycardia or arrhythmia, central nervous system stimulation, insomnia.

There is no specific treatment for this, but supportive measures can be used.

In all cases of suspected overdose, immediate medical attention is crucial for adults as well as children.

Daily long-term use of paracetamol with warfarin and other coumarins used to thin the blood may increase the risk of bleeding.

Alcohol use may increase the hepatotoxic effect of Panadol Extra.

Panadol Extra is not ed during pregnancy due to the potential increased risk of spontaneous abortion associated with caffeine consumption.

This product should not be used during breastfeeding without medical consultation.

Caffeine in breast milk may have a stimulating effect on infants, but no significant toxicity is observed.
