Parola Yayınları Johan Gutenberg

Product description

Gutenberg's family was quite wealthy. Their father, friele, and uncle worked in the money-making workshops of the archbishop, and it was there that johann most likely learned the craft of fine metalwork.

making money required very careful and measured pouring and stamping of gold.

besides, the workers there knew well about using metals, heat, casting rooms, they would recognize paints and printmaking tools. Johann carefully observed in the archbishop's workshop how gold and silver were melted to make coins, poured into molds in casting rooms, cooled, and finally polished. He definitely smelled his profession, which would earn him reputation if not money, especially for the first time there.

gutenberg had begun experiments with printing which would lead him to print his first book twenty-five years later. This first book printed by gutenberg was so well printed and so close to a perfect copy that it couldn't have been his first work.

at that stage, it had solved many technical problems, and so the printing business limped along for almost four hundred years.
