Permatex High-Temperature Red RTV Silicone Gasket Maker is formulated for high-temperature applications and heavy-duty use, such as towing.

It replaces almost any cut gasket by making reliable 'formed-in-place' gaskets that resist cracking, shrinking, and migration caused by thermal cycling.

It covers pre-cut gaskets for increased reliability.

It resists automotive and shop fluids, with an intermittent temperature range of -65°F to 650°F (-54°C to 343°C).

This single-component RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) gasket compound cures on exposure to moisture in the air to form a tough, flexible, rubber silicone gasket.

Permatex Red High-Temperature Gasket Maker replaces almost any cut gasket by making reliable 'formed-in-place' gaskets that resist cracking, shrinking, and migration due to thermal cycling.

Instructions for use: 1. For best results, surfaces should be clean and dry.

2. Cut nozzle and apply a continuous bead of 1/16 inch to 1/4 inch (2 to 6 mm) silicone to one surface, surrounding all bolt holes.

Assemble parts immediately while silicone is still wet.

Finger tighten until material begins to squeeze around the flange.

3. Allow to dry for one hour, then tighten to torque specifications.

4. Wait 24 hours for full cure before filling with fluids or returning to service.

5. Replace cap after use.

Note: Not recommended for use on head gaskets or parts in contact with gasoline.
