• place the device cuff around the upper arm comfortably and firmly • make sure there is enough space between the cuff and the arm to allow a finger to enter (about one inch). • make sure the device tube is not kinked • do not move or talk while taking the measurement • press the power button to start the device, the cuff will start automatically inflating to a certain degree and then start deflating • after completing this, the device screen will display a blood pressure reading, and two numbers will appear on the screen, the upper one is called systolic blood pressure, and the lower one is called diastolic blood pressure. • record the measurement readings accordingly eg (125/85) • after finishing, press slightly on the cuff to deflate the air • Read carefully how to take the measurement from the device’s instruction booklet • Take a break for about 5 minutes before measuring
