summary:The “hero” is not a docile, well-developed and overflowing citizen with a sense of duty.Only an individual who has created their own noble, natural upright title against their destiny can be a hero. His “upright headship” is like the deep, majestic, god-taxed upright headship of each weed stem, which is only for its own development. You can also call it “selfishness”.However, this selfishness is completely different from the miser's selfishness or the selfishness of the person who is greedy for power.Determination of one's own destiny instead of harmony, upright headgear instead of subordination… common motifs that are processed in all hermann hesse's works.According to him, each person's tendency is unique and distinctive.Exploring them, developing them, even defending against social resistance, they cover his life and each of his works as a central theme."discover yourself: on the appeal of individuality, hesse brings together his most useful writings on this topic - many of which have not been published - and virtually proves his experience: ""i have always based my faith on the individual, because only the individual can be educated and developed."In my experience, selfless, courageous people who sacrifice and protect good in the world have always come out of small elites.”With this book by hesse, who encourages us to start each new day with confidence and curiosity, a higher level of humanity is possible.
