What should be shaft length? &lt

/h 2 &gt

The shafts determine the distance from the blade, which makes the flight, to the body, which makes the weight.

hence the length of the shaft changes the center of gravity of the whole arrow. As the length increases, the time it stays in the air also increases and the arrow follows a more parallel route to the ground. Players generally don't want excessively long flight times, but they do want control.

arrows with long shafts contact the board at a steep angle after a stable, horizontal flight.

if you shoot very fast arrows, long shafts slow you down increasing your control.

they are the most preferred shafts in the whole world, providing both control and angle advantage, with medium length shafts. If you have a more delicate playing style, using a short shaft might be a good fit for you. In recent years, winmau has started producing 41mm shafts that fall between short and medium, which they call "intermediate." Choose the shaft that best suits your style, arrow, and fletching from 4 different lengths.

What is the difference in plastic, aluminum, carbon fiber? &lt

/h 2 &gt

Most dart players use plastic shafts because they are light, cheap and convenient.

the aluminum ones are heavy and expensive.

attaching the vanes can be tricky, plus they can warp over time, but they won’t break like plastic shafts.

carbon fiber shafts are both durable and lightweight, but expensive.

Don't drop your arrows on the ground.

if you are a novice, lay something soft under the board to cool.

remember that shafts are a consumable for a dart player, they will loose their characteristics over time and you will need to repurchase them. Keep away from heaters, sudden temperature changes, and direct sunlight.
