Product description

A love story that begins in iran in 1953 and extends to the usa in 2013... roya kayhani and bahman aslan meet at a stationery shop in tehran in 1953

they are both 17 years old. Roy is a young girl who is fond of literature, and mr. fahri's stationery shop filled with books, papers, fountain pens, and colorful ink bottles is a haven where she finds peace. Bahman is an enthusiastic young man who is passionate about mevlâna's poems and is engaged in a democratic iranian desire. A short romance quickly sprouts between the couple who meet at the stationery shop every tuesday. However, the coup carried out by the pro-shah forces that year would both end iran's progress towards becoming a democratic and independent country and cause the unexpected separation of roya and bahman's paths. After 60 years have passed, roya continues his life in america, far away from his country, but fate will bring them face to face once again. Roy has finally had the opportunity to find the answers he has been looking for for more than half a century: why did bahman disappear on that fateful day? Why had he left roya? How could he forget roya?
