Year after year, the gradual slowing of the earth's rotation makes each day a fraction of a second longer.

The Swatch Gent 60 + 1 was a Swatch Club Special from 2010. David Benedek, designer and member of the Swatch snowboard pro team, implemented this theoretical discrepancy.

The simplicity makes the theme clearly visible.

Two colored circles are printed on top of each other, representing cosmic and earth time.

Two small dots serve as a clear highlight for the leap second, the light dot is on the purple dial with hands of the same color and the pink is printed on the glass cover.

The circles are also shown on the simple, white plastic strap with a light blue-transparent loop and purple pin.

The watch is waterproof, has a precise quartz movement and a number print.
