Product description

“neyim in this brand new century? I'm a poet ex! He is the son of revolution, he is a gentleman, what about me? Yesterday's bey! The gentleman from yesterday, you know, a bitch! He does not know today's turkish, his language is a thousand years old!” halil nihad boztepe / halil nihad boztepe's tree case from ağaç kasidesi is among the most important satirical texts of the republic period turkish literature. This letter, written at the request of the himaye-i eshcar society, was first published in 1931.

1947 with its enlarged edition increases the dose of social criticism. The tree anecdote, written with aruz vezni, is a text that also criticizes the cultural policies of the republic alongside the language revolution. This text has also triggered many debates in periodicals of the period, especially after the 1947 edition, and has brought both literature and politics to the agenda. This text, which he wrote about many names such as halide edib to vâlâ nurettin, peyami safa to hakkı süha gezgin, includes both the 1931 and 1947 editions, while also introducing readers to some of the articles published in the period's periodicals. In tree anatomy, while following the unique connection established by boztepe between the tree and the language, you will realize that this text is a serious text that we should not ignore the line between tradition and the language's evolution. We present this text, which has generated a lot of debate in our language and literature history, to the attention of researchers and readers as vakıfbank culture publications.
