TREND Ziya İlhan’a Mektuplar

Product description

Despite starting with poetry, kemal tahir, who first turned to writing stories in the mid-1930s, then decided on fiction, is among the most original - and equally groundbreaking - writers of the last century's turkish literature, with the enormity of the narrative he left behind, and his extraordinary literary endeavor in interpreting turkey's complex reality not from the outside but from the inside, not with ready-made patterns but within the framework of his own dynamics. At this point, the letters written by kemal tahir to his close circle, especially his friends, are resources that need to be read and examined to understand this literary effort.

The letters kemal tahir wrote to the writer and poet ziya i̇lhan zaimoğlu, who accompanied him in his adventure in the geçit magazine and in his struggle to bring a new breath to turkish literature, are quite valuable both for witnessing the early period of the author's life and for showing the process of formation of his literary language and how he laid the first steps of his current place in turkish literature. Letters to ziya i̇lhan brings the reader together with the sincere, believing and enthusiastic lines from our great novelist's youth and strong pen.

brother, i didn't write to you because i didn't have time to write a long letter. I was not willing to send short, short, unexplained lines.

the obligation to write to strangers forced to leave a back near the saintly friendly omission.

you wouldn't even get one of those. You know how kemal tahir loves ziya i̇lhan.
