Vefa Yayınları Coat

Product description

"gogol, the pioneer of russian realism, included the ""little man"" in literature with the ""palto"" in the ""petersburg stories"" compilation of stories he wrote during the imperial period when his rule was in effect."

Swinging akakiy akakiyevich, an ordinary pencil officer, with his new coat on his back into the streets, the character's life's truth caused by the anguish of the bureaucratism at the center of feudalism was so frightened that gogol was accused of insulting the russian people and betraying his people. With gogol's satirical approach, the story, which describes the hopeless struggle of an ordinary person amidst the ignored and disgusted silence, has shaped an entire russian literature from dostoyevsky to tolstoy, from turgenev to chekhov.
