Product description

In the book you hold in your hands, which we call "aş havan," you will read the esendal stories, which were published in periodicals between 1949-1960 and were scattered in various books, all together. "i have never seen memduh şevket esendal, and i don't really know what he did in his political life, but i remember saying 'this is a storyteller!' the first day i read his stories. I can also say that he is our chekhov. But a lonely, isolated, shadowed, forgotten chekhov, who has been waiting for experts to discover him for a long time, will be reevaluated when he makes his voice heard by the crowds, will grow, and will become as widespread and influential as ömer seyfettin, sabahattin ali, sait faik.

he was a pioneer of a very important understanding in turkish short story. He moved towards human relationships with a narrative away from sweetless, bare, formal games, and sought artistic success in the beauty of content. I believe that today's young storytellers should pay attention and examine this writer of ours. In an environment where people are overly fond of decorations, stories, and games, the republication of the works of this great master can be very beneficial.
