Yordam Kitap Kömür Kralı

Product description

"he is the son of a wealthy businessman with coal mines, hal warner, in the rocky mountains of colorado. he starts working as a ""miner's patch,"" changing his name and clothes, for a ""summer course in applied economics,"" and witnesses the brutal living and working conditions of the mine workers."

he meets the irish “red” mary and many others in the miners ' camp, where workers from many countries of the world live (they are called so because of the hair color, not political views). He eventually finds himself as the leader of a strike prone to failure. To write this novel of zola, which is similar to germinal, upton sinclair repeatedly went to colorado coal mines in 1913-1914 and made observations.

the coal king, first published in 1917, is based on a wave of large strikes that actually took place in the same years and were suppressed by the use of military force. Hal warner has to leave his friends, whom he is deeply attached to, but he will return and (after the author's death, in the novel published in 1976) will continue his struggle where he left off in the coal war. "the old man said, ""mary,"" he said, ""have you ever read what is written about ants in africa?"" mary replied, ""no."

“millions of them walk in long lines.

when they come to a pothole, the front ones go down into the pothole and others come and fall on top of them, eventually filling the pothole well so that the others pass to the other side of the pothole.

we're ants, mary.
