Yordam Kitap Silver Aygır

Product description

When the korean war broke out in the summer of 1950, a legend circulated among the children of a korean village, geumsan: the baby commander legend.

the mythological hero baby commander will come out on the back of the silver hippopotamus to liberate the people, just like before, one day. While the children are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the baby remote, american general douglas macarthur arrives with the united nations army behind him.

from this moment, the village of geumsan in korea has changed forever.

The author, ahn junghyo, who witnessed the korean war at a young age, combined his testimonies with imagination in the novel silver stallion, depicting the indelible scars left by the war in a small korean village, a widowed mother's push to make life-changing sacrifices to the foreign soldiers deployed to the area, the irreversibly changed worlds of children in the war environment, poverty, corruption, and moral decline with brutal realism.

moreover, he has done this to a large extent from the perspective of children who, like him, were introduced to war at an early age. "ahn junghyo's novel ""the story of korea"" tells the silver stallion, for the first time in turkish with its literal translation from korean!"
